About the Role
You will lead Investment NSW's industry development and investment attraction agenda, working at the intersection of government policy and private sector engagement to drive NSW's economic growth.
Providing executive leadership to a specialist team, this high-impact role involves managing critical stakeholder relationships from boardrooms to Ministers' offices, driving investment attraction, delivering major international exhibitions, including the upcoming International Astronautical Conference, while establishing new cross government units toboost economic resilience, foster knowledge transfer, enhance skills and drive innovation, delivering growth and productivity benefits.
You will join our Industry & Investment Branch within the Investment NSW Group. Investment NSW is the state's dedicated investment attraction and trade promotion agency, responsible for positioning NSW as Australia's global gateway. Our recent strategic work includes the NSW Industry Policy, Innovation Blueprint, and NSW Trade and Investment Strategy 2035 - initiatives that showcase the breadth and strategic importance of this portfolio.

We're Looking For
* Senior Executive Leadership: Proven experience engaging at C-suite level with international investors, industry associations and major proponents, and demonstrated ability to represent government with authority and credibility
* Cross-border Trade & Investment: Extensive background in leading international trade relationships, investment attraction and managing complex political, commercial and/or regulatory environments across public and/or private sectors
* Strategic Policy Development: Strong capability to develop evidence-based policy advice for Ministers and Cabinet, navigating machinery of government and regulatory frameworks
* Organisational Design & People Leadership: Experience establishing new teams, governance structures and cross-functional processes, with proven ability to influence and drive change across diverse stakeholder groups
* Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of private sector operations, tax law, property and business fundamentals, to adhere with government and probity requirements
