Role
A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for a Bogger Operator to join the Underground Mining team. Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, the Bogger operator is responsible for:
* Bogging of development headings production stopes
* Loading stockpiles to trucks
* Keep trucks operating at full efficiency
* Bog out and clean faces
* Inspect for misfires, promptly notify the Shift Supervisor, and perform hosing down and scaling as required
* Remote Bogging from open stopes using Tele-Remotes
* Tram material from stockpiles
* Keep all roads in working area tidy and free from pooling water and other potential hazards
* Manual and Tele-Remote bogging of production stopes to stockpiles
About You
To be successful in the role, you will possess:
* 3 years+ underground mining experience
* Experience with underground hard rock mining techniques, including watering, scaling, bogging of development headings and production stopes
* Initiative and a flexible approach to work
* A willingness to build a safe and productive work culture with a high focus on quality and the ability to work autonomously
* Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration skills
* Ability to operate Sandvik/Cat loaders
* Experience in production charging
* Current Vic Shot firing / Black ticket (advantageous)
* Valid C Class Driver's License
* Full Australian work rights
Mandatory
* 3+ years previous experience in Underground mining as a Bogger operator
* Very high standard of safety focus, and observance and compliance with all safety policies and procedures
* Have or can successfully obtain a Senior First Aid certificate
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent team building and organisational skills
* Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills
* Experience in working in a narrow‑vein mining method experience
* Residential mine, located centrally in booming Ballarat – live close to home, no more FIFO

* Excellent roster (7:7, Wednesdays to Tuesdays), 12‑hr shifts
