Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly capable and experienced Contracts Administrator to join their team in Albury, NSW. This permanent, full-time office-based role and a great opportunity to contribute to a well-established organisation with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects.
About our Client: Thomas McWilliam is representing a trusted industry leader in Commercial Construction. Our client is a multi-award-winning commercial construction company that has been operating in the Central West for over 25 years, delivering diverse commercial projects from $5M to $35M for Government, Commercial, and Local Council sectors across regional NSW.
About the Role: As a Contracts Administrator you will be welcomed and supported into a team of professionals who have a strong focus on successfully delivering quality construction projects throughout regional New South Wales. The company is seeking a talented Contracts Administrator to become an integral part of our business, working directly alongside the company's Managing Director, Construction Managers and Project team. You must be a capable and proficient individual with a strong understanding of the industry. This role is a full-time office-based position located in Albury NSW.
Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets and schedules ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claim
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Progress claim assistance and external variations
- Resolve contract-related issues and disputes whilst maintaining strong professional relationships
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution
- Manage and administer contracts from inception to completion ensuring all terms and conditions are met
- Administration of the project HSE system
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator in Australia
- Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator within the construction industry
- Australian Citizenship and an unrestricted driver’s license
- High attention to detail and strong organisation skills
- Knowledge of the New South Wales construction market and subcontractors
- Robust understanding of building regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in relevant software and tools
