A well-established mechanical services contractor delivering projects across the Sydney Metro area is seeking a Junior HVAC Estimator to join their team in Seven Hills. This role is ideal for a graduate or junior Mechanical Engineer looking to move into the commercial side of HVAC and construction projects. You’ll be responsible for preparing mechanical services tenders for projects up to $5M, working closely with the estimating and projects team. You’ll be involved in the full estimating process, from reviewing drawings and gathering supplier pricing through to compiling tender submissions and attending pre-tender meetings. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to understand project scope Prepare full HVAC estimates including supplier and subcontractor pricing Liaise with suppliers and contractors to gather and review pricing Compile and submit tenders using Excel Conduct site inspections and pre-tender assessments Manage multiple tenders simultaneously (typically 4–5 at any time) Assist with post-tender meetings with builders and clients Work closely with project managers and the engineering manager About You Mechanical Engineering degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply) or somebody with experience in HVAC estimation. Interest in HVAC or construction projects Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications Strong Excel and analytical skills High attention to detail and strong organisation skills Good communication when dealing with suppliers and contractors HVAC estimating experience is not essential – the team is happy to train a motivated mechanical engineering graduate who is eager to learn. The role is based in Seven Hills, with work-from-home flexibility available after the initial onboarding period.
