General Manager - Client & Growth Operations

Sourci is a Melbourne based product development and global supply chain business partnering with some of Australia's fastest-growing brands. We work across apparel, accessories, hard goods and industrial design, managing the journey from concept through to manufacturing, delivery and beyond.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for an experienced senior operator to lead the engine room of the business.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role responsible for the commercial and operational performance of our client-facing team.
You'll lead our team (Account Managers, Production Managers, Designers), ensuring projects move with clarity and pace from development through to order. You'll drive accountability across delivery, conversion and revenue forecasting, while stepping into complex client conversations when required and continuously supporting their growth.
The role is both strategic and hands‐on. You'll work closely with the CEO to translate vision into execution, strengthen operational discipline, and support sustainable growth across our client base.
Your job is to ensure the business runs with urgency, clarity, and accountability, while enabling the CEO to focus on strategy and continuous long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams
* Drive project progression and maintain delivery momentum
* Improve conversion from development to bulk order
* Oversee commercial decision-making and escalations
* Support new product development across existing accounts
* Contribute to onboarding and growth of strategic clients
* Strengthen forecasting accuracy and revenue pacing
* Reduce day-to-day operational reliance on the CEO
About You
You are an experienced senior operator who understands how to balance strong client relationships with disciplined commercial performance.
You're comfortable making decisions, setting clear expectations, and holding teams accountable. You know how to drive genuine progress with both clients and internal teams, without eroding trust. You operate with confidence in ambiguity and bring structure, clarity and pace to complex environments.
You bring strong commercial acumen, with deep accountability for margin performance, revenue growth and commercial discipline. You understand pricing, scope control, forecasting and conversion dynamics, and have led teams through complex, multi-stage delivery cycles with measurable outcomes.
This is a critical senior leadership role at the core of the business. It requires executive-level ownership and decisiveness.
Experience & Background
You will bring:
* 8 - 12+ years' experience in operations management, general management, commercial leadership or senior client delivery roles
* Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams (Account Management, Project Management, Production, Operations or similar)
* Clear ownership of the wider teams revenue, delivery, margin or conversion outcomes
* Experience acting as a senior escalation point for both clients and internal stakeholders
* Strong commercial judgement across pricing, margin management and scope governance
* Exposure to complex projects or longer delivery cycles
* Proven sales experience with the ability to close deals and hit revenue targets
Experience within product-led or supply chain-driven businesses is highly regarded - including manufacturing, sourcing, FMCG, apparel, industrial products or other services connected to physical goods.
We also value experience within scale-up or growth-stage businesses, where pace, ownership and adaptability are critical.
