A well established insurance business based on the Gold Coast is seeking a part time Bookkeeper to support the financial and operational side of the business.
This position is becoming available due to the current Bookkeeper preparing for retirement after many years with the company. To ensure a smooth transition, full training and support will be provided, with the current Bookkeeper assisting during the handover period.
This opportunity would suit someone with bookkeeping experience who enjoys working in a small, supportive team and wants a flexible long term role.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping (Xero)
• Processing and paying supplier invoices
• Managing payroll
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Preparing and reconciling monthly financial reports
• Processing monthly Activity Statements and quarterly BAS
• Balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations
• Managing AFSL compliance funds
Insurance System Administration (Winbeat) - Will be Trained
• Processing insurance premium receipts
• Paying underwriters as payments fall due
• Managing underwriter records within the system
• Reconciling accounts within Winbeat
• Processing stamp duty and related payments
• Monthly reconciliation of GST, debtors, creditors, and commissions
• Preparing regulatory reporting including APRA and NSW FSL submissions
Full training will be provided on the Winbeat system if required.
What We Are Looking For
• Previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
• Confidence using Xero (Winbeat experience beneficial but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities
• Someone interested in building a long term role with the business
