Type : Full-Time Term : Ongoing Position Details Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School is a triple stream co-educational school of approximately 800 students from the Early Learning Centre (3 Year Old) to Year 6.
The school is situated in the centre of Rockingham giving easy access to the surrounding suburbs.
The school operates a 3 Year Old Early Learning Centre (open 5 days per week from 6am – 6pm) and a 4 Year Old Kindergarten Program operates (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) with 2 additional days (Thursday and Friday) that are optional.
Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care are available at the school.
We are seeking applications for an enthusiastic, innovative ELC Supervisor for a full time, ongoing position within our Early Learning Centre.
Your responsibilities for the positions will include: Plan and prepare activities for children alongside the team.
Role model active supervision.
Uphold regulations and policies/procedures in day-to-day practices.
Collaborate with all stakeholders to support the overall health and well-being of the children.
Relay important information to the Leadership Team and implement new policy and regulation changes associated within your role.
Work as part of team and provide cover for relief when required.
Oversee practices and procedures within the Care Centres and assist with the completion of regular audits for Centre reflection and improvement.
Assist the Leadership Team with the day-to-day running of the Centre.
Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in a similar setting.
Knowledge of childcare regulations and food safety regulations.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Required Under the Australian Qualifications Framework or Degree / Diploma in children's services covering the age range of 4-12 years; or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards); or Completed 50% of an Early Childhood Teaching Degree.
Extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
Dept of Education Police Clearance or willing to obtain.
Working With Children Check or willing to obtain.
Approved First Aid (HLTAID012) and active CPR, or willing to obtain.
Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willing to obtain.
Supervising Officer/Responsible Person Certificate or willing to obtain.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willing to obtain.
