Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Farm Manager for a dairy farm in Denison, located between Traralgon and Sale in the Southern Gippsland region of Victoria. Barnett Farm is approximately 150ha in total, with 60ha under centre‑pivot irrigation and 90ha under flood irrigation. The farm currently milks 800 cows through a 50‑bail rotary shed with ACRs, auto‑teat spray and a concrete feed pad, and is predominantly pasture‑based with grain fed in the dairy. The herd is 50% Spring and 50% Autumn calving, starting in August and February. Accommodation is available and there may also be employment opportunities for a partner on one of our nearby farms.

Responsibilities
* Support the farm manager as second in charge.
* Drive and uphold animal health and safe operating procedures.
* Manage herd and nutrition, including calving, hospital herd care, AI/mating planning, dairy shed work and more.
* Oversee irrigation and pasture management.
* Supervise staff.
* Operate machinery.
* Manage repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
* Extensive dairy industry experience is required for this management role.
* Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a related field is desired.
* Committed to ensuring a safe workplace.
* Reliable, punctual and able to take responsibility.
* Good work ethic and positive attitude.
* Leadership skills and team player.
