We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to advance our Dust and Respiratory Health Program at The University of Queensland.
This exciting opportunity applies expertise in occupational hygiene, mining, mineralogy, microscopy, occupational health or related disciplines to research that makes a difference.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare samples for redeposition and microscopy analysis, ensuring high-quality data is obtained.
* Manage MLA and FEG-SEM file workflows efficiently, streamlining the research process.
* Follow and refine standard operating procedures for redeposition, sample preparation, and data handling, maintaining consistency and accuracy.
* Conduct quality checks on MLA outputs, identifying areas for improvement.
* Interpret microscopy and particle-by-particle datasets to support project reporting, providing valuable insights.
* Use coding skills to clean, process, and analyze large MLA datasets, extracting meaningful information.
