Due to our continued growth and success, we're now looking for a Payroll Officer as a part time to join our Finance Team located in our Welshpool office. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for payroll accuracy and compliance, and enjoys working as part of a close-knit, professional team supporting a dynamic workforce in the mining and construction industry.
About The Role
* Process fortnightly and out-of-cycle payrolls, including timesheets, deductions, entitlements, and superannuation.
* Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and industrial awards.
* Handle system administration and configuration for Wage Easy payroll system.
* Provide timely responses to employee and operational payroll queries.
* Maintain payroll records, rate tables, and assist in job costing tasks.
What you'll be doing
* Minimum 2 years' experience in end-to-end payroll, preferably in mining or construction.
* Experience with rostering and remote workforce payroll.
* Strong knowledge of relevant awards, taxation, and workers' compensation legislation.
* Exposure to ERP systems and job costing.
* Diploma of Business or similar qualification.
* Experience with Wage Easy highly desirable.
