We are seeking a Senior Programs Guide to lead our team in delivering engaging cultural tourism and education programs at Melbourne Gardens.
The successful candidate will connect visitors with the rich plant stories and knowledge of Country, working closely with our First Peoples staff and key stakeholders to ensure programs are culturally safe and respectful.
About the Role
* Lead and support the Aboriginal Programs Guide team in delivering high-quality, culturally respectful programs.
* Design and lead plant knowledge tours for diverse audiences.
* Contribute to the development of First Peoples-focused programs and initiatives.
* Manage staff schedules, resources, and support team recruitment and development.

Key Requirements
* A qualification or equivalent experience in First Peoples tourism, tour guiding, and/or public program planning.
* A general knowledge of Victorian indigenous plants and their cultural uses is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, community aspirations, and current opportunities and challenges.
* Experience in developing, delivering, and interpreting cultural programs for diverse audiences.
* Experience building respectful networks with First Peoples communities.
