About the role

Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs in an online environment. The Learning Support Teacher will be a full‐time position commencing on 20 April **** or as soon thereafter. This is a key role within ACC Victoria Online, responsible for leading and coordinating inclusive education practices across the school.

As a coach, coordinator and specialist advisor, the Learning Support Teacher works collaboratively with teaching staff, families and external professionals to ensure students with additional learning needs are appropriately supported to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Online teachers are required to work from our Casey office in Cranbourne South.

Responsibilities

* Lead and oversee the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), ensuring accurate documentation, evidence collection and compliance with national requirements.
* Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families and external professionals, ensuring adjustments are targeted, measurable and regularly evaluated.
* Coordinate and facilitate Student Support Group (SSG) meetings, ensuring clear communication and documented outcomes.
* Provide professional advice during enrolment regarding suitability, reasonable adjustments and support pathways for students with additional needs.
* Support teaching staff to implement effective differentiation and adjustments within an online learning environment, including guidance on curriculum access and engagement strategies.
* Monitor student progress and the effectiveness of adjustments, supporting teachers to refine practice based on data and evidence.
* Coordinate reasonable adjustments for assessments, including NAPLAN and VCE, in line with VCAA and ACARA requirements.
* Work collaboratively with the Child Safe Wellbeing Officer and leadership team where learning needs intersect with wellbeing or engagement concerns.
* Contribute to the development of inclusive practices across the school, ensuring students with additional needs are supported to participate fully in learning.
* Provide guidance and support to Learning Assistants (if applicable), ensuring consistency and clarity in the implementation of support strategies.
* Maintain accurate and compliant records in relation to student support, adjustments and NCCD evidence.
* Other duties as directed by the Head of ACC Victoria Online and the Principal.

Qualifications

* Evidence of the right to work in Australia.
* Proof of identity.
* Recognised teaching qualification.
* Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable).
* Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
* Statements of service from previous child‐connected roles.
* References from previous child‐connected roles.
* High expectations for student academic and behavioural outcomes.
* Strong knowledge of inclusive education and differentiation.
* Confidence leading compliance processes such as NCCD.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
* Comfortable working within digital platforms and an online learning model.
* Ability to plan for, collect and analyse educational data and devise appropriate strategies to improve outcomes.
* Ability to receive feedback on teaching and implement changes.
* Servant‐heart approach and strong interpersonal relationships with staff, students and families.
