Butcher Required
Caves Beach Butchery have an opening for an experienced, reliable, professional, qualified butcher to join our growing team.
Requirements.
Certificate III in Meat Processing or trade qualification.
Demonstrated experience as a butcher, preferably in a wholesale or retail meat environment.
Knowledge of cuts and relevant preparation techniques.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail and takes pride in their craft.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in cold temperatures.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in relation to meat handling and storage.
Job Summary:
Breaking, Boning and Trimming Beef, Lamb and Pork using your knife skills.
Portion Cutting to required weights (Raffle Trays).
Sausage Making (Fresh & Smallgoods for Smoking).
Brine Injecting for Ham, Corned Beef, Pastrami etc.
Preparation of value added products.
