The Role As a Safety Officer (SUBWATCH), you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of emergency response capabilities on board Collins Class Submarines. This position operates on a rotating shift roster covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Essential Qualifications
* Advanced First Aid (HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid, or equivalent)
* Construction Industry White Card (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
* Fire Extinguisher competency (PUAWER008 Confine small emergency in the workplace, or equivalent)
* National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
* Australian Citizenship
* Currently hold NV1 clearance or ability to gain NV1 security clearance
Desirable Qualifications
* Certificate III in Public Safety (firefighting & emergency operations)
* Breathing Apparatus
* Confined Space Entry
* Advanced Firefighting
* Defence or maritime experience
* Gas Test Atmospheres
