About the role
As an Emergency Department Administrative Officer you will work in a high performing, committed and flexible administrative team that:
* provides a suite of customer and patient liaison focused services to patients, families and visitors of all areas of the Emergency Department in a manner that is respectful, compassionate and caring
* provides vital administrative support to medical and nursing staff to support patient services and care within the Department and across Barwon Health
* accurately collects complex patient and service data for reporting and financial services
* establishes strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and consumers.

Applicants with previous experience in an Emergency Department or other medical environments will be highly considered.
On average, the Emergency Department at University Hospital Geelong treats more than 200 plus people on any weekday, and even more people on weekends and during holiday periods. The Department has dedicated assessment areas including fast track, adult, paediatric, resuscitation, trauma and mental health areas and provides a service that ensures high quality, safe, people-focused care.
