Support Team Leader

What are we looking for?
We seek a Support Team Leader to join our NSW and ACT Work + Road team. This is a full-time role managing the workers compensation support team across 3 locations: Sydney, Penrith and a new location in south-western Sydney.
The role includes supporting the Practice Leader in a Senior Legal Assistant capacity with workers compensation and industrial negligence matters.
Your duties will include:
* Supporting the Practice Leader as Support Team Leader in the Practice Leader's legal practice in workers compensation including statutory workers compensation, Personal Injury Commission, work injury damages, District Court of NSW, and Supreme Court of NSW matters
* Providing the highest level of care and support to our clients in a professional manner.
* Work proactively with the Practice Leader with the administration and management of files including but not limited to: arrangement of informal conferences, mediations, collating of materials and serving on all parties, drafting of court documents and finalising of briefs to counsel, including court books and coordination of client relationships through extensive liaison with counsel, clients and third parties
* Trial preparation including but not limited to diarising, monitoring and actioning all court timetables, interlocutory steps and processes and key dates as per court orders and/or legislation, finalising attendees and relevant material for day of Hearing
* Managing the Practice Leader's diary
* Managing the Sydney West workers compensation support team including:
* setting and communicating performance targets.
* Mentor and training
* managing performance.
* managing and coordinating in-office attendance, work from home arrangements and leave.

* Available to work 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday across multiple office locations.
