This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
* Maintaining school grounds, including mowing, watering, weeding, and caring for gardens, trees, and sporting facilities.
* Performing general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs to furniture, equipment, and facilities, as well as ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
* Assisting with the preparation of classrooms, assembly halls, and other school spaces for events and activities, including moving and arranging furniture.
* Supporting security duties, waste collection, and immediate cleaning tasks as required, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders for maintenance and repairs.
* Managing tools, equipment, and chemical registers, ensuring safe storage and handling in line with WHS guidelines.
This role would suit an organised and proactive individual with a passion for maintaining high-quality facilities and contributing to a positive school environment.
Reporting to the Principal or Business Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school remains a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the wider community.
