Its work spans procurement, employment, industrial relations, infrastructure, IT, construction, integrity body investigations, FOI and privacy.About The RoleOGC is recruiting a manager role within its Commercial and Regulatory team. The team is led by three co-Managers, each responsible for overseeing the delivery of legal services on a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters across the justice portfolio.Key Accountabilities IncludeProviding solutions-based legal and policy advice on issues relevant to the government, ministers and the department, both individually and through leadership and management of a team of solicitorsIndependently managing multiple complex and sensitive matters for various clients across the whole of DJCSUndertaking legal research and analysis on complex legal matters, demonstrating outstanding commercial and drafting skills.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About YouWe are looking for an experienced lawyer who can manage a team that delivers sophisticated, authoritative, concise, and solutions-focused advice in commercial and regulatory matters. Key accountabilities include:As Our Ideal Candidate, You Will PossessTechnical legal skills with the ability to analyse complex legal issues, interpret legislation and develop accurate legal solutions with minimal supervisionExperience providing legal advice at a senior level in relation to commercial transactions. regulatory or infrastructure projectsProvides leadership and guidance based on advanced expertiseExperience in, or knowledge of, Victorian government and Cabinet processes.Qualifications/RequirementsAdmitted, or eligible to be admitted, to practice as a legal practitioner in Victoria.Successful candidates will have a proven ability to manage high-performing teams in the delivery of sophisticated, authoritative and concise advice and legal services on complex legal matters. Experience in commercial and/or public law matters will be invaluable; experience in both is not mandatory.
