We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented individual to join our Apparel Group as a Merchandise Planner. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Position: Assistant Merchandise Planner
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing sales, profit, and inventory targets through effective planning, analysis, and management of financials, Open to Buy, and stock allocation.
* Assist in analyzing department, class, sub-class, and product performance to identify trends and take proactive action.
* Support in forecasting, aligning forecasts with sales targets and marketing calendars.
* Manage stock levels to minimize excess inventory and optimize store and online performance through accurate stock management and deliveries.
* Monitor size performance and collaborate with the Allocator to ensure stock levels maximize product sales.
* Assist with post-season reviews and performance analysis.
* Support in preparing reports to track performance against KPIs and business rules.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or retail.
* Understanding of financial parameters and targets relevant to the department.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
