The opportunity
The Technology & Solutions Lead is responsible for owning the overall technical architecture, engineering standards, and technology direction across the organisation's digital platforms. This role bridges Digital Product and Engineering—ensuring solutions are well designed, scalable, secure, and aligned to business priorities. The Technology Lead provides technical leadership to the development team while remaining hands‐on in solution design and architectural decision‐making.
Some of the things you will be involved in
Own and evolve the overall system architecture across digital platforms
Lead technical solution design for new initiatives and major enhancements
Translate product and business requirements into scalable technical designs
Set and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
Review and approve technical designs and major code changes
Provide hands‐on technical leadership and mentoring to developers
Oversee API design, backend architecture, integrations and system performance
Ensure solutions are secure, scalable and resilient
Guide DevOps, CI/CD processes and environment management
Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues
Identify technical debt and drive structured remediation plans
Support technology roadmap planning alongside Digital Product
We are looking for you to bring
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
Relevant cloud or architecture certifications (desirable)
Essential Skills and Experience
Software engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership
Strong backend development experience (e.g. .NET Core, REST APIs, SQL-based systems)
Experience defining and maintaining system architecture
Strong understanding of API design, microservices and system integrations
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
Experience working with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS)
Ability to lead and influence technical teams without micromanaging
Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to simplify complex systems
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience working in a subscription or high‐traffic digital platform environment
Experience with modern web frameworks (e.g. Next.js, React)
Experience integrating third‐party platforms and payment providers
Exposure to security frameworks and application security best practices
Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
