Join a passionate team of healthcare professionals and take on a key leadership role in our 32-bed Cardiothoracic Unit. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to optimise resources, ensure best‑practice care delivery, and mentor a team of nurses and clinical support staff.
This is an ideal part‑time opportunity (Parental Leave Contract) for a senior nurse to expand their leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and support nursing and clinical support staff.
* Provide expert clinical guidance and problem‑solving within your specialty.
* Assist in planning and implementing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
* Promote a culture of safety, risk management, and infection control compliance.
Skills and Experience
* Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
* Minimum 4 years' experience in specialty.
* High‑level clinical competence and problem‑solving ability.
* Experience in mentoring, training, and developing staff.
* Strong knowledge of quality and infection control processes.
* Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and patients.
