About the role:
Carinity Education – Rockhampton have exciting opportunities for enthusiastic Youth Workers – Student Wellbeing (YWSW) to join the team. This role provides support to youth in their academic endeavours contributing to a rich education experience in a caring environment.
The YWSW plays an important role encouraging the spiritual and cultural development of young people and ensuring that the social and emotional environments within the school are positive, respectful, and calm.
This position has full-time, part-time (Term Time Only), and casual opportunities available.
What do I need for the role?
* Certificate IV in Teacher Aide, Youth Work, or similar relevant discipline
* Experience in providing Youth Work, education, and support services to marginalised young people
* Ability to manage problematic behaviour of youth at risk, including physical intervention and de-escalation techniques
* Possession of a valid LR Driver's Licence or willing to obtain (Drive the School mini bus)
* Hold a current Suitability for Working with Children card (Blue Card)
