About the Role
Safe Knight is seeking an adaptable Administration & Accounts professional with a broad skill set to support our essential operations team in Southport.
This is a hands-on role managing administration, payroll, and billing for our Security and Traffic Control divisions—requiring a confident professional capable of navigating complex pay structures across two distinct industries.
The ideal candidate is a multi-skilled professional who can seamlessly transition between diverse responsibilities while maintaining clear focus on high-priority objectives.
This position is initially offered on a Casual basis (32 hours), after completion of the trial period, Part Time will be offered with the capability to move Full Time for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting two business entities, your duties will include:
* Administration: Supporting day to day administration and operations tasks, data entry and documentation management.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Building relationships with clients and internal staff.
* Company Compliance: Assisting with tracking compliance requirements for the business and employees.
* Weekly End-to-End Payroll: Accurately applying penalty rates, allowances, and overtime specific to Security and Traffic Control awards.
* Financial Operations: Managing Accounts Payable/Receivable, invoicing and quoting.
* Reporting & Compliance: Providing monthly management reports, assisting with STP reporting, and preparing data for BAS/Tax.
What We Need From You
* Experience: Minimum 3 years in payroll processing and AP/AR and general administration is essential.
* Preferred Background: Experience within the Construction or Security sectors
* Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Xero, MS Office Suite, and shared drives.
* Award Knowledge: Ability to interpret complex industrial awards (experience in Security or Construction industries is advantageous).
* Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a developing team environment.
* Adaptability: Proven track record of managing multiple project streams and meeting tight deadlines
* Availability: Immediate start preferred.
