About the Role:
This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those with minor and complex mental health needs, who enjoys a challenge and enjoys the rewarding feeling of making a difference in someone’s life.
We are seeking experienced Mental Health Support Workers for an adult requiring support within the home involving In Home Care and Community Access.
Shifts available : Friday 10am - 5pm
Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.
Pay rate Minimum starting rate is $43.33 per hour, plus allowances for evenings, weekends and public holidays (based on qualifications and experience).
Skills and Experience:
Experience and or/Academic or professional experience in mental health or a similar field (i.e., Psychology, Nursing, Community Services, Youth Work or Social Work)
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven.
* Reliable, kind and caring nature, with good work ethics
* Be patient and understanding.
* Well-presented and a professional approach
* Positively engage, interact, and work with people who have complex needs.
* Possess a comprehensive knowledge of mental health and the issues that are faced.
* Ability to apply sensitivity, empathy, cultural awareness, and an open-minded approach to personal matters. Experience working with and implementing client goal plans with a demonstrated understanding of client recovery-oriented practice in a mental health framework.

Mandatory Requirements:
* Current resume and 2 professional referees
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
* Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employer) – if supporting U18
* Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
