About the Role
As a Porter, you'll be the welcoming face of the hotel by assisting guests with luggage, valet parking, and navigating our facilities. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth arrivals and departures, maintaining the lobby's presentation, and supporting the Front Office team in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting with luggage and directions
* Deliver and retrieve luggage to and from guest rooms with care and efficiency
* Safely store guest belongings in the luggage room and handle group arrivals
* Assist with valet parking, ensuring compliance with Australian road regulations
* Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented lobby area
* Explain room features and promote hotel services during luggage delivery
* Respond to guest queries about hotel facilities and local attractions
* Support front office operations and complete handovers accurately
* Assist guests with disabilities in accordance with accessibility guidelines
* Monitor and report any safety hazards or system issues
* Uphold hotel grooming, conduct, and safety standards
* Participate in training sessions and departmental briefings
* Handle guest mail, messages, and parcels promptly
* Process payments and follow cash handling procedures
* Maintain confidentiality of guest and staff information
* Promote hotel offerings and contribute to upselling initiatives
About You
* Previous experience in a porter or guest services role preferred
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
* Valid driver's license
* Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
* Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
* Full working rights in Australia
