Manager - Corporate Tax - Private Clients

The Opportunity
As a Manager in our Private Tax team, you will work with large established private businesses, high‐net‐worth individuals and families, and start‐up businesses. You will have significant opportunities for learning, career advancement, and exposure to private and corporate clients, including cross‐border and international tax work. This hybrid role is based in Meanjin – Brisbane and can be adjusted to flexible work arrangements.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Managing a portfolio of diverse growth clients including privately owned corporate groups, private businesses, high‐net‐worth families, trusts, and other privately owned entities.
* Overseeing tax compliance, financial statements, planning, and advisory services for a wide range of client groups featuring companies (including tax consolidated groups), trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
* Working directly with Partners and senior Tax specialists to deliver consulting advice on intricate tax matters such as corporate restructures, domestic and cross‐border transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A, and specific trust issues.
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Experience in tax consulting, ideally in a top‐tier or second‐tier accounting firm or legal firm.
* Experience managing junior staff and supporting their development.
* Advanced tax technical knowledge relevant to corporate groups, trusts and individuals.
* Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
* Tax experience, preferably gained in a professional services environment in Australia.
* Excellent client‐facing skills with the confidence to lead client meetings and build a network.
