About the opportunity We are seeking 6 x Team Leader Greenspace Maintenance to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a fast-paced role responsible for the maintenance of Council's formal garden and landscape areas with a focus on beautification of Council's premier open space areas.
You will be involved in the continuing improvement of the horticultural amenity of our public open space and assist with the development and training of Apprentices.
We are seeking highly motivated and appropriately qualified and skilled persons to lead a small team to undertake the maintenance and landscape improvement works of Council's public open space areas.
You will beleading the Maintenance crews in the servicing and maintenance our premier passive open space area to ensure a high-level, quality horticultural service is performed and the landscape finish remains safe, attractive and inviting to use to our park visitors.
Qualifications and experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Horticulture with solid working experience in open space operationsChemical application accreditationCurrent MR Driver's LicenceExperience supervising small teamsKnowledge of applicable legislation and regulationsComputer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly learn corporate applicationsDemonstrated commitment to customer serviceAbility to work in a team environmentAvailability to work rostered overtime as required.Current First Aid certificateTraffic controller accreditationChainsaw operation certificate of competency.Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
