Overview
Permanent full‑time academic position in Criminology at the University of Wollongong's Liverpool campus. The role supports the launch and delivery of a new Bachelor of Criminology program. Salary commensurate with experience meets Level A, B or C ranges.
Responsibilities
* Lead research, publish in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals and secure external funding.
* Deliver undergraduate teaching, including lecture, tutorial and assessment design. Demonstrate teaching effectiveness through student evaluations or other evidence.
* Serve as primary academic contact for Criminology students, fostering open inquiry, viewpoint diversity and constructive disagreement.
* Engage in departmental and university service, contributing to program development and student support.
Qualifications
* PhD in Criminology, Criminal Justice or closely related field, or near completion with expected conferral within 12 months.
* Strong track record of research productivity, including publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
* Demonstrated teaching effectiveness, supported by student evaluations or evidence of impact.
* Commitment to fostering open inquiry, viewpoint diversity and constructive disagreement in the classroom and broader academic environment.
