We are seeking an experienced Chef for an immediate start to join our talented team at the Sheffield Hotel in Sheffield, Tasmania. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of high-quality cuisine in our busy kitchen. Wage $76515-$86944 annually.
Skills
* Preparing and cooking a diverse range of dishes to our exacting standards
* Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and maintaining high levels of food safety and hygiene
* Coaching and mentoring junior kitchen team members
* Participating in inventory management and ordering of supplies
* Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environment. Grill/fryer experience preferred
* A minimum of 2 years of chef experience in a professional kitchen environment
* Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
* Strong working knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and inventory management
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
* The ability to work effectively in a team and provide leadership and guidance to junior staff
