Job Description
As a Senior Project Studies & Approvals Advisor, you will support the delivery and execution of environmental and social impact assessment studies that will enable planned exploration and mining activities to access future resources. Your key responsibilities include preparing Mine Management Plans for both exploration and mining activities, assisting in obtaining regulatory approvals required to support exploration and capital projects, identifying environmental and social risks associated with land access and regulatory approval pathways, and implementing corrective actions to address and manage.
You will also support consultants to deliver on a variety of technical and social assessment related studies required as part of preparing environmental approval applications, assist in preparing forecast budgets, monthly accruals, schedule updates and 2-yearly work plans.
The ideal candidate will have experience and demonstrate capability in significant experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining and resources industry, knowledge of Federal and Northern Territory environmental legislation and approval processes, demonstrated expertise in environmental management and impact assessments, and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate cooperation amongst a multi-disciplinary team of technical environmental consultants and project planning employees.
Qualifications for this position are a tertiary qualification in Science or Natural Resources disciplines desirable.

About the Role
This is a permanent full-time position on a 4:3 roster either residential on Groote Eylandt or FIFO from Darwin/Cairns. Domestic relocation to Alyangula, Darwin, or Cairns from anywhere in Australia is provided.
