Offer description

Own and lead project requirements, including coordination of associated disciplines, with a strong focus on delivery through construction and site phases. Develop, assign and manage deliverables across internal and external teams, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, to a high standard, and in line with client expectations.

Design Philosophy & Leadership

Demonstrate familiarity with Design Philosophy and Leadership expectations and support the Project Director in successful implementation on your project.

Technical Delivery

* Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of technical delivery expectations and support the Project Director in successful implementation on your project.
* Provide leadership during construction and site phases, including coordination with contractors, resolving site issues, and maintaining design intent through delivery.

Project Management

* Lead day-to-day project delivery, ensuring alignment with programme, quality, and client expectations.
* Take increasing ownership of project outcomes, supporting the Project Director while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Project Commercial Responsibility

* Work with the Project Director to manage project financial performance, including fee, resourcing, and profitability.
* Demonstrate solid commercial awareness and contribute to decision-making that supports successful project outcomes.

Business Development

* Build and maintain a strong industry profile to support new business opportunities.
* Actively identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and contribute to pipeline growth.
* Contribute to Business Development strategies including new business strategies, capture plans, competitor analysis, and contractor collaborations.
* Create a market profile to develop industry networks and contacts to help create new business opportunities for HDR.
* Attend appropriate networking opportunities to promote HDR in the local market.

* Actively participate in office wide initiatives that promote personal and professional staff development.
* Champion a culture of professionalism, team collaboration and accountability.
* Model positive and solution-oriented teamwork.
* Take initiative in seeking out appropriate pathways for professional and self-development.

* Support and mentor team members, offering guidance, sharing knowledge and creating a collaborative project environment.
* Provide formal and informal leadership within project teams, helping to organise workflows.
* Recognise and escalate complex or sensitive issues to line management or HR as required.
* Communicate clearly and frequently with your colleagues, line manager and project teams.
* Communicate clearly and confidently with external stakeholders.

Subject Matter Expertise

* Communicate clearly and frequently with your colleagues, line manager and project team.
* Develop appropriate strategy of soft and hard communication combination methods to achieve optimum outcomes.
* Begin to develop effective negotiation skills with the external stakeholders including consultants, clients and contractors to influence required objectives.
* Develop clear and concise summary communication methods to convey complex project issues to studio leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

* Tertiary qualifications in Architecture.
* Typically, 8+ years' related experience.
* Registered Architect.
* Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
* Collaborative, proactive and highly organised with good time management.
* Strong portfolio with a great eye for presentation and attention to detail.
* A keen interest in personal and professional development.
* Strong technical skills and proficiency with design software tools including Revit, Rhino and Adobe suite.
