Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading organisation to find skilled ICT Technical Operations Officers to enhance digital infrastructure within air-gapped scientific laboratory environments. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside scientists, technicians and ICT professionals, contributing to the modernisation of workflows, data management practices and laboratory software systems that underpin Australia's national measurement capabilities.
As an ICT Technical Operations Officer, you will engage directly with laboratory staff to understand their operational needs, map data flows, manage software inventories and support the implementation of digital solutions that improve efficiency and reliability. You will play a key role in developing procedures and documentation that support sustainable and secure digital practices, whilst working under broad direction with appropriate technical support to uplift the air-gapped Local Area Network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with testing laboratories to develop and implement work practices and procedures leveraging air-gapped network infrastructure
* Map data flows and storage systems, developing comprehensive understanding of current state data management
* Report and present on solution uptake and issues to management and staff forums, contributing to ICT project governance
* Interact with laboratory users and software vendors to create and maintain registers of current software and licences
* Support business change management activities and the delivery of IT enhancement projects
* Contribute to the development of procedures and documentation supporting secure digital practices
Key Experience and Skills:
* Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience supporting IT enhancement projects (instrument control software, data mapping, workflow management or information management systems)
* Strong self-motivation and organisational skills with well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Proven ability to work collaboratively, negotiate and influence to establish productive relationships with management, operational staff and vendors
* Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders, with strong report and technical writing abilities
* Experience supporting ICT operations in scientific laboratories, either in analyst or support roles
