Your current role
- Financial oversight: Monitor budgets, manage expenses and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising patient care.
- Regulatory compliance: Stay updated on healthcare laws, accreditation standards and ensure the practice meets all legal obligations.
- Technology integration: Oversee adoption of electronic health records (EHR), scheduling software and other digital tools to streamline workflows.
- Data reporting: Generate and analyse reports on patient flow, staff productivity and operational efficiency to guide decision-making.
- Vendor management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, service providers and ensure timely procurement of medical and office supplies.
- Patient experience initiatives: Develop programs to improve patient satisfaction, including feedback surveys and service recovery strategies.
- Risk management: Identify potential risks in operations and implement mitigation strategies to protect staff, patients and the organisation.
- Community engagement: Build relationships with local organisations, participate in outreach programs and enhance the practice's reputation.
- Succession planning: Identify and mentor future leaders within the team to ensure continuity of management.
- Change management: Lead staff through organisational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to patient care.
- Sustainability initiatives: Beyond waste minimisation, implement eco-friendly practices such as energy efficiency and paperless systems.
- Conflict resolution: Mediate disputes between staff members or between staff and patients, ensuring fair and professional outcomes.
- Continuous improvement: Regularly review processes and implement lean management principles to enhance efficiency.
- Emergency preparedness: Develop and rehearse contingency plans for natural disasters, pandemics, or other crises.
- Staff recognition programs: Create initiatives to celebrate achievements, boost morale and retain talent.
- Communicate and advocate for the purpose and specifics of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), emphasising their significance.
- Ensure adequate staffing and create optimal schedules to meet requirements and align with patient flow in each centre.
- Establish administrative systems and workflows that promote professionalism and high-quality medical practice.
- Implement performance measurement systems supported by management to monitor and influence behaviour.
- Encourage and Identify training needs. Ensure all staff support customer service and act accordingly in their role to make customers feel safe and welcome.
- Act according to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices and encourage colleagues and customers to do the same daily to be compliant. You will be facilitating these meetings with the team.
- You will be responsible for displaying the correct behaviour regarding incident reports, administration, improving or correcting these actions.
- Follow the injury management policy and provide guidance regarding the workers' compensation claims and return-to-work plans. If a task cannot be completed.
