ABOUT THE ROLE
Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Mechanical Fitters to join our team in a fast-paced, 24/7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, coal fired boiler and rendering.
* Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach
* Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance
* Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis
* Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, health and environment
* Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities
* Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment
* Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving
* Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant
REMUNERATION
* Night Shift $54.71 per hour
* Day shift $47.10 per hour
ROSTER
* Night Shift | 16:00 - 04:00hrs
* Day Shift | :00hrs
* 5 days on, 4 days off then 4 days on, 5 days off

ABOUT YOU
* Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum
* Experience in Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role
* Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding
* Reliable, motivated self-starter
* Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time management skills and communication skills
* FMCG or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
* Beef slaughter process equipment (highly regarded).
* Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment (highly regarded).
* Downstream processing (boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems) (highly regarded).
* Unlimited working rights within Australia
* Ability to work alongside a diverse workforce
* Drivers licence and reliable vehicle, or
* Reliable means of getting to work
* Vaccinated (or willing to be) against Q Fever.
