Position Title
Senior Safeguards Clinician - Dubbo Region, Adolescent Forensic Mental Health - Dubbo Justice Health - PFT
Job Summary
This position requires a professional to provide community-based assessment and intervention services for young people with complex mental health needs involved with the criminal justice system.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Safeguards Clinician to work in the Dubbo Region, providing rapid, mobile, intensive, and flexible short-term evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for young people in contact with the justice system.
About the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health care to vulnerable populations, navigating ethical or legal challenges in clinical practice, and negotiating and influencing skills to secure resources for patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide community-based assessment and intervention services for young people with complex mental health needs.
* Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
* Navigate ethical or legal challenges in clinical practice, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Secure resources for patient outcomes through effective negotiation and influencing skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A relevant degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or Clinical Psychology.
* Registration with the relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW, or Psychology Board of Australia).
* 3-5 years' clinical experience, with extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge.
