About the Role
We're looking for an Estimator who knows how to turn site issues into clear solutions, accurate scopes, and quality quotes.
This isn't a role where you'll be pricing the same cookie-cutter jobs every day. You'll be involved in a wide variety of commercial maintenance, building repairs, reactive works, and small project works across multiple trades and environments.
One day you could be inspecting a waterproofing issue, the next pricing door replacements, civil repairs, fire-related works, or coordinating subcontractor pricing for a commercial maintenance project.
The role is a mix of office-based estimating and on-site inspections, so we're looking for someone practical, switched on, organised, and confident communicating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
If you enjoy problem-solving, writing detailed scopes, and being trusted to manage your own workflow — you'll fit in well here.
What You'll Be Doing
– Attending site inspections across commercial maintenance and building environments
– Preparing detailed scopes of work and accurate quotations
– Pricing labour, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and project requirements
– Coordinating supplier and subcontractor pricing
– Managing multiple quotes and deadlines simultaneously
– Identifying repair methodologies and practical solutions
– Preparing client-ready quotations with clear assumptions and exclusions
– Assisting with small project and maintenance tender submissions where required
– Working closely with operations and internal teams to support project delivery
What We're Looking For
We're less concerned about whether you come from a traditional estimating pathway and more interested in finding someone who is capable, motivated, and genuinely wants to build a long-term career in estimating.
You may come from:
– Facilities maintenance
– Commercial construction
– Building services
– Insurance repairs
– Trade coordination
– Project coordination
– Or a hands-on trade background transitioning into estimating
Experience is important, but attitude, communication, accountability, and attention to detail matter just as much.
Ideally, You'll Have
– Experience in estimating, facilities maintenance, construction, or building services
– Strong communication and scope writing skills
– Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
– Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
– A practical mindset and problem-solving ability
– Confidence working independently and within a team
– Experience with ServiceM8, Excel, Word, or similar systems
– Current driver's licence
Tendering experience will be highly regarded, but it's not essential.
Why Join Us?
– Diverse and interesting work across multiple trades and project types
– A genuine mix of office and site-based work
– A supportive and practical team environment
– Long-term opportunity with a growing business
– A role where you'll be trusted to manage your work without being micromanaged
– Exposure to a broad range of commercial maintenance and building projects
