The HR Systems and Insights Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement of HR systems at the City of Launceston. As the organisation's subject matter expert in HR information systems, you will administer the HRIS, maintain accurate organisational and employee data, support system users, and provide insightful people‐related reporting to support evidence‐based decision making. The role also contributes to ongoing enhancements in HR processes and technology.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administering and maintaining HRIS data, workflows and system functionality
* Running people analytics, monthly People Insights, and quarterly HR reporting
* Preparing data for external surveys, remuneration benchmarking and legislative reporting
* Supporting system training for leaders and employees, including SOP development
* Coordinating system updates, enhancements, and testing with suppliers and IT
* Maintaining HR templates, automated forms and secure document storage
* Supporting compliance with Enterprise Agreement increases and legislative obligations
About You
We are looking for someone who demonstrates alignment with Our Values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Relevant tertiary qualification and/or at least 5 years HRIS administration experience
* Experience in a contemporary HR environment
* High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work systematically with accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong analytical, logical and problem‐solving capabilities
* Ability to manage competing priorities within deadlines
* Experience preparing clear, high‐quality documentation, guides and training material
* Ability to exercise initiative while maintaining confidentiality
