The Position
As The Contract Manager – Surface Drilling Tools, you will oversee the effective management of designated Tricon drilling tools contracts within your region. Your key responsibilities will include leading contract personnel, optimizing contract performance, and ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards. You will also be accountable for achieving financial targets, meeting contract KPIs, and maintaining strong customer relationships. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring service levels consistently showcase the value of Tricon’s products and services, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Contracts team to ensure effective contract management, including key metrics, financial targets, work scope, EHS standards, and personnel oversight.
2. Ensure all purchasing processes comply with Tricon’s Procurement Policy & Standards.
3. Support business improvement initiatives by reviewing and enhancing contract management and administration processes.
4. Work with the Tricon product & applications team on product selection, technical support, trials, training, and warranties.
5. Partner with the Tricon EHS Manager to align with EHS initiatives, training, and customer-specific requirements.
6. Act as the primary customer contact, providing support, attending regular meetings, and delivering presentations & reports as required.
About You:
1. Familiarity with the Surface Mining drilling tools industry and managing contracts in a technical or industrial setting is highly beneficial.
2. At least 3-4 years of experience in management of Surface Drill & Blast applications for DTH and Rotary drill fleets.
3. At least 2 years of experience in contract management or a related field would be preferable. Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with experience in procurement processes and EHS standards.
4. Adaptable and solutions-focused, you can navigate challenges while maintaining a strong customer-centric approach.
5. You excel at leading high-performing teams, ensuring they meet key metrics, financial targets, and compliance requirements.
6. Your ability to analyze data, manage multiple contracts, and implement effective solutions allows you to drive efficiency and success.
7. With excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you thrive in customer-facing roles and are committed to delivering value.
