* Salary: $36.65 - $50.01 per hour + 25% casual loading – Casual Pool – RN/RM1
Overview
You will contribute to the delivery of professional, high quality nursing care within the Aged Care services at Millicent and District Hospital and Health Service. Assessing patients' needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing aged care. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team. The Millicent and District Hospital and Health Service is the centre for health care in Millicent and surrounding districts. We serve the Wattle Range District Council, including the towns of Millicent, Beachport, Rendelsham, Tantanoola and Mount Burr. As well as aged care, we provide a broad range of acute services, general theatre and paediatrics.
Sheoak Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area on Towers Road, Millicent and is co-located with Millicent and District Hospital and Health Service ensuring ready access to medical care. It is located close to the towns shopping and recreational facilities. Millicent is a quiet country town in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, approximately 399 kilometres Limestone Coast of Adelaide and 50 kilometres north of Mount Gambier on the Riddoch Highway with its main source of income coming from agriculture and a number of large industrial companies including Kimberley Clark Australia.

About You
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within an aged care setting.
