See yourself in our team: The Data Analytics Chapter Area for Group uses data and analytics to identify our customers’ needs and safely deliver insights, process improvement, customer contact journeys and innovative solutions to improve their financial wellbeing. Do work that matters: Supporting the Financial Crime Operations team, you will be leading and developing the capability of individuals across the chapter, driving analytics strategies and process efficiency, enabling data driven decisions and customer outcomes. You will be identifying opportunities and improvements to support our analysts, as well as enabling senior leadership to make decisions in the pursuit of eliminating financial crime. On a day-to-day basis you will: Using advanced business acumen, translate complex business requirements and objectives into technical solutions that help drive and support strategic commercial objectives Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, and seek to find ways to standardise, simplify and automate business processes Develop a deep understanding of the customer experience and help to optimise this experience wherever possible. Apply advanced skills and data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns and insights that can drive business decisions. Implement and monitor technologies, techniques and processes for capturing business intelligence, adjusting business processes both internally and cross-organisationally. Utilise tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data. Proactively challenge the status-quo to drive the best outcomes for the business. Advanced commercial experience with data exploration and analysis tools such as Python, SQL, Teradata, Power BI, and Tableau. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for analytics and data engineering; AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty) highly regarded. Strong critical thinking skills and commercial acumen with the ability to structure solutions to complex problems using data-driven insights. Ability to clearly communicate and synthesise complex issues and solutions concisely for decision makers, both in written and verbal briefings. Confident in constructively challenging the status quo to find improved ways of working. Experience developing, validating, and deploying predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast trends and identify opportunities. Interest in staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, machine learning, and big data.
