Our client is part of the Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW), and supports local and state government agencies to deliver critical infrastructure initiatives by providing expert advisory, planning, design, delivery and support services.
They bridge the gap between the government and the private sector, helping clients to maximise value, optimise costs and manage risks in their infrastructure programs and the lifecycle management of their assets. These services are built on a solid foundation of more than 160 years of effective delivery and management of critical infrastructure projects for the State of NSW.
**_They are seeking engineering professionals with Structural design experience to join the Digital Engineering team within NSW Public Works for a 12 month contract._**
With your Structural design experience, using Revit Structural software you will be capable of undertaking design tasks and preparation of design deliverables (2D drawings and 3D models) independently with the support of a senior design engineer:
- Prepare a range of Structural engineering deliverables (2D drawings and 3D models) for government clients under the supervision of a senior design engineer - Producing design deliverables in accordance with Australian, NSW Public Works departmental and Council/ Agency standards and specifications.
- Working seamlessly with other engineering disciplines and project managers to obtain relevant information from clients and stakeholders and assess any constraints and design standards.
- Providing technical advice to engineers, consultants and management using modern engineering design packages such as AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, Revit, and other related software.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative engineering outcomes for NSW Public Works and its clients.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of NSW Public Works' Digital Engineering transformation, including the development of technical documentation, training of staff members, management of NSW Public Works' Autodesk Construction Cloud platform and other digital engineering tasks as required.
- Diploma/ Associate Degree in Structural Engineering (or similar qualification) - Demonstrated minimum 2 years' experience undertaking Structural Engineering design activities - Demonstrated ability to use AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, Revit or similar design software - Proven knowledge and experience of engineering design and construction standards for Structural construction and government infrastructure projects - Proven experience working independently and within a multi-disciplinary team with high attention to details
