Steamatic Canberra is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Operations Coordinator to join our team. About the Role
As the Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and managing daily schedules for technicians and subcontractors, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and in line with KPI expectations. You’ll act as a key communication hub between customers, crews, insurers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and schedule technicians and subcontractors
* Optimise crew utilisation and monitor job progress
* Liaise with customers, insurers, and other stakeholders
* Ensure jobs are progressing within required timeframes
* Maintain and update scheduling systems
* Assist with quality control processes and customer follow-ups
* Support technicians with enquiries and on-site requirements
* Be available for after-hours emergency response when required
About You
You’re a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. You remain calm under pressure and are committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
You will bring:
* Previous experience in administration and/or customer service
* Strong scheduling and coordination skills
* Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
* Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, email, and general systems)
* A proactive, team-focused attitude
Highly regarded (but not essential):
* Knowledge of scheduling systems or job management software
Working Hours & Flexibility
* Monday to Friday roster (between 7:30am – 5:30pm)
* Availability for after-hours, weekends, and public holidays during emergency events (e.g. natural disasters)
