Please note, we require a video introduction as a part of your application (phone video is completely acceptable).
In this role you'll be helping to deliver high-quality livestreams across Canberra from intimate weddings and funerals to larger corporate, community, and government events.
We welcome applicants with experience or a strong passion for related fields — including film and media production, audio engineering, photography, videography, AV technology, theatre, or live event production.
Whether you're starting out with enthusiasm or arriving with a wealth of experience, we'll provide the training and ongoing support you need to thrive.
About the Role
Most of our events are streamed using kits containing up to 6 compact wireless camera controlled by iPads and complemented by multiple wireless audio sources. These are typically one person jobs where you'll need to be organised, composed, and confident with technology and troubleshooting.
For larger or more complex events (e.g. corporate lectures/conferences/ceremonies), you'll work as part of a team using our more advanced range of equipment — including Canon cinema cameras, Blackmagic Design vision equipment, and professional sound / display systems.
As the majority of our work is funeral and wedding based, you will also need a high degree of discretion, emotional intelligence, personal presentation and attention to detail.
This is special and meaningful work. You'll play a vital role in helping families, communities, and organisations connect with loved ones and colleagues who can't be there in person during times that matter most.
This role is advertised as a casual position of 38 hours per week but conversion to full time permanent can be negotiated at a later date.
Key Responsibilities

* Prepare graphics, media, and update webpages for upcoming livestream events.

* Contribute to marketing tasks such as content creation, social media, exhibitions, etc.
* Maintain equipment: update firmware/software, care/repair and ensure constant readiness.
* Video editing of recorded streams.
* Admin tasks such as phone calls, taking bookings, and planning/scheduling.
* Support ongoing improvement of workflows, checklists, and documentation.

* A positive, can-do attitude and a good sense of humour.
* Ability to work after hours and on weekends (when required).
