Mine Geologist – Devon Pit Gold Mine
FIFO 8:6 | Red October Village
About the Project:
Be part of Western Australia's newest gold mine – the Devon Pit Gold Mine, a start-up mining operation entering production. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the development and implementation of grade control and resource models critical to mine planning and production.
As part of a small, high-performing geology team, you will help build and maintain mine geology systems and processes from the ground up. This includes developing work procedures, data capture and reporting systems, and reconciliation of production data. You'll work closely with planning engineers, survey, scheduling and operations to ensure efficient, optimised extraction of the gold resource. Ore will be trucked offsite for processing at a third-party plant.
About the Role:
We're seeking a motivated Junior Mine Geologist to assist with all day-to-day geology functions across the mine site. Your responsibilities will include:
* Grade control and ore block mark-out
* Resource and GC drilling programs
* Near-mine exploration
* Production monitoring and reconciliation
* Supporting the development of site geological systems and procedures
* Other site-based duties as required
Key Details:
* Roster: FIFO 8:6 ex-Perth
* Location: Red October Village
* Reporting to: Senior Mine Geologist
* Tertiary qualification in Geology required
This is a unique opportunity to join a mine from the ground up and make a real impact. If you're ready for a rewarding challenge in a dynamic start-up environment – we'd love to hear from you.
