Your main duties will include:Performing repairs on buses and other maintenance activities as requiredOverseeing major repair programs, including testing, fault finding, and quality assuranceConducting functional checks to ensure components are operational and vehicles are fit for serviceProviding on-the-job instruction, training, and coaching to staff for maintenance work, inventory requirements, and record documentationDeveloping the skills of the workshop team to maximise resultsLeading by example, representing the organisation in an honest, ethical, and professional manner according to the Busways Code of ConductMaintaining all tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with Busways' standardsLiaising with the Regional Assets Support Manager regarding buses off the roadAssisting the Regional Assets Support Manager as needed, including undertaking higher duty supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the regular appointed supervisorEnsuring staff have adequate training to perform necessary tasksRaising purchase orders and processing invoices for paymentReporting and repairing all accident damage as requiredPerforming ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directedOur workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.About UsBusways is the largest Australian-owned bus operator and the most experienced Australian bus specialist, delivering high-performing transport services since 1942.
