About the role
This is a hands-on position, leading the Branch team in the Townsville branch to represent Bayset as the market leader and to provide accurate and efficient services to customers on a day-to-day basis. Your role will include counter service as well as coordinating and maintaining branch & wareshouse operations. Along with providing exceptional customer service, the key responsibilities of the role include, but are definitely not limited to:
1. Overall responsibility for the first line performance of the branch.
2. Developing relationships and identifying customer needs.
3. Providing the correct product advice with regards to customers requirements and specifications.
4. Working with the Sales Reps to identify new business leads
5. Liaising with Sales and Technical staff to ensure that our customers have timely feedback with regards to problem solving.
6. Coordinating deliveries to customers on-site using our own truck.
7. Purchasing requirements for the branch & ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained.
8. Picking and packing of orders including courier and transport documentation.
9. Checking picked orders, invoicing and branch transfers.
10. Adhering to inventory and warehouse controls.
11. Ensure areas of responsibility in relation to shelving, stock and
cleanliness is carried out.
About you To be successful in this role you will have the following:
* Outstanding customer service skills.
* Demonstrated commitment and a strong sales focus.
* Current drivers license required.
* Forklift license essential.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in this or a related field is desirable.
* Previous experience in the construction industry would be an advantage.
* Demonstrate exceptional initiative and professional attitude.
* Strong communication skills at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Solid prioritisation and organisation skills.
* Ability to perform at your peak under pressure and be able to make quick and correct decisions when needed.
