Overview
We are currently seeking casual Residential Support Workers to join our team in Rockhampton.
Our Support Workers will support young people by providing a sense of safety, structure, acceptance, stability and security in our Residential Care homes and in the community.
Responsibilities
Engage with young people to support them in all aspects of life, both in the home and wider community.
Implement strategies identified in the care plan and participate in review of care plans to ensure young people have clear, relevant, and achievable goals.
Support planned contact and connectedness to family as approved by child safety services.
Support social, recreational, educational and health activities for young people in line with their individual care plan.
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention/Community Services or working toward this qualification (proof of enrolment required).
Alternative qualifications or working towards: Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services or Youth Work; Diploma in Behavioural Science, Counselling, Nursing or Mental Health
Other Requirements
Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
