Who we're looking for:
We have a new opportunity for a qualified Assistant Accountant to develop their career as part of our national accounting team, supporting our regional construction business in Victoria and South Australia. Working closely with the Regional Financial Controller, you will assist the finance team with a variety of tasks including accounts receivable and invoicing; financial and management reporting; forecasting and variance analysis; general ledger maintenance; business partnering and continual process improvement. Enabling accurate and informed decision making within the finance function is essential for the regions to achieve their goals successfully.
The role requires technical accounting knowledge together with strong administrative and analytical skills. With tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or Finance you are either pursuing or willing to pursue CA/CPA qualifications. You'll appreciate the importance of meeting deadlines and attention to detail, and you'll be an excellent communicator who has experience with finance systems and processes.
Experience in the construction sector is an advantage but not essential.
