Job Title: Executive Chef
A senior leadership role is available for an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue growth and maximizing operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of hands-on management, team leadership, and menu development, with a strong focus on locally sourced products and sustainable practices. They will be responsible for ensuring the culinary operation meets guests' needs, while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Hands-on management of day-to-day culinary operations
* Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members to ensure they are equipped to excel in their roles and develop their skills for the future
* Demonstrating Hyatt's purpose of caring for people to be their best at all times, while embodying the company values and principles
* Developing new menus that align with brand standards, incorporating seasonal ingredients and emerging culinary trends
* Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and occupational health & safety standards
* Collaborating with sales and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction and maximize revenue
* Managing operational expenses within budgetary guidelines
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Recent experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential
* Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* Proven success in leading and developing high-performing teams
* Knowledge of the market, demonstrated flair and creativity with a focus on locally and ethically sourced products
* Strong interpersonal skills used to build effective relationships with stakeholders
* Ability to drive the Culinary operation to achieve key goals related to financials, guest, and colleague metrics
