How a merit list or pool may be used
Applicants suitable for the role but not offered the current vacancy may be placed in a merit list or pool. With the applicant's consent, results may be shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies for similar roles. Applicants could be offered future roles without reapplying. A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months and can fill vacancies across Australia.

Role Overview
This role supports the management of the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Property Operations section, which provides services including facilities management, fleet management, property leasing, sustainability, project management, and stationery services. The section is part of the Integrity, Security, and Property Branch within the Chief People Officer Division.
Key Duties
* Manage facilities, escalate work orders, assist with projects and ad hoc tasks, and oversee contracts such as PSP, National Fleet, and Stationery.
* Resolve accommodation issues at local and national levels.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Provide accommodation solutions and leadership within the team.
* Participate in WHS meetings, team meetings, and reporting activities.
* Process financial transactions within delegated frameworks.
* Note: Australian citizenship is required under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999. All external applicants must undergo a security clearance process, including obtaining and maintaining a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance.
Mandatory Requirements
* Current Driver's License
* Experience in facilities management within a government environment

This recruitment may fill ongoing or non-ongoing positions, with roles initially up to 23 months. A merit pool may be established for future vacancies over the next 18 months. Successful applicants will undergo a probation period.
